This week was about more than just getting things done; it was about building on our Adobe Commerce Strategy. Fresh back from holiday, I jumped into a series of strategic meetings and discussions to ensure our team is fully aligned on our goals and that we’re strengthening the relationships that are key to our success.
Connecting with the Team at Ampito
I kicked off the week by heading down to our group head office in Crawley. I don’t often get the chance to visit and see the incredible team who quietly powers objectsource from behind the scenes, but I did this week.
This fantastic crew, part of the wider Ampito Group, is the reason I’m able to focus on our clients and technical partners. They keep our finances sharp, ensure people get paid, review contracts and keep our marketing humming. They also make sure our team has the right IT, software and security in place to do what we do best. It’s easy to forget all the moving parts that go into running an agency, but this team’s work is what allows us to deliver the corporate-level capability of a top Adobe Commerce partner while still giving every client a personal, hands-on experience.
While I was there, I also made sure to update them on our Adobe Commerce strategy for objectsource, particularly around Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service (ACCS) and Adobe Commerce Optimizer (ACO). Having the support of a £120 million turnover business behind us is a fantastic feeling. Their backing and interest in our new direction is a huge motivator.

Getting Technical with Adobe on Our Adobe Commerce Strategy
Next, our Senior Developer and I went to the Adobe office in Reading. We usually go to the London office so this was a bit different! We had a great meeting with John Baxendale (Partner Solutions Architect) and Simon Coles (Senior Partner Solution Consultant) – to talk through our progress with ACO and ACCS.
The goal was to get aligned on the roadmap we’re building for our clients. This roadmap shows them the best path forward, whether they’re on Adobe Commerce (Platform as a Service), have a legacy ERP or are using a different/older e-commerce platform.
Our strategy resonated with them completely. It was a great validation that we’re on the right track, using ACO as the gateway to the full benefits of ACCS. A special shoutout goes to our Senior Developer, who was on fire during the technical conversation – his deep understanding of how this all works was crystal clear and really showcased the expertise we have on our team.

The Magento Community and a Stormy Situation
A few of us who are strong advocates for the Magento platform were supposed to go paddleboarding. Unfortunately, a storm (with lightning!) put an end to that plan! But every cloud has a silver lining. We got together anyway to discuss how we can ensure the platform’s remarkable evolution gets the right attention.
It’s important that the community understands that Magento is evolving and that there’s a strong group of people dedicated to its future. We had some exciting discussions and I’m looking forward to sharing more on this soon.
Bringing the Benefits to Our Clients
Throughout the week, I also had great conversations with several of our key clients who are on the PaaS version of Adobe Commerce. We walked them through a staged journey to get the full benefits of ACCS, explaining how they can start seeing those benefits right away with ACO.
This step-by-step roadmap really clicked with them. The first big benefit we’re highlighting is the ability to use Catalog Services to create a single source of truth for all their products. This is a massive draw for any business, whether they’re trading online or not. Having all your product details, from descriptions to images and specs, in one place makes it so much easier to push that information to all your different channels, whether it’s a commerce platform, a B2B site or a marketplace.
Overall, it was a packed but incredibly valuable week. Connecting with our head office team, aligning with Adobe, engaging with the community, and showing our clients a clear path to success is what it’s all about.
