Overview
This was a really exciting project for us to win, not just because it would be working with one of the most prestigious and well established charity organisations in the UK, but this project has some great technical challenges.
The Institute of Technology and Engineering wanted to be able to enable their members to consume their key courses from anywhere in the world and from the comfort of either their desk or at home. They therefore talked to CrossKnowledge, a Wiley brand that provide integrated digital learning solutions, and asked them to provide this using an eCommerce platform so that they could sell them online.
objectsource were the lucky Adobe Commerce Partner to be chosen to provide the eCommerce element on Adobe Commerce Cloud.
Challenge
We needed to provide a full bespoke integration with CrossKnowledge’s eLearning Platform. This had to allow the member to buy the course they wanted and upon successful payment, the member would be able to consume that course online.
Another key aspect of this project was providing a custom integration with PaySafe. For one of the user cases, we needed to use the authorise and capture methods, as some of the courses could be pre-ordered, but payment could only be taken once the course was ready.
Solution
It was great to be able to use Adobe Commerce Cloud for this project, as their hosting was already set up for Enterprise grade solutions; PCI Compliance, performance enhancement tools, full deployment scripts and much more. With this, it meant we were able to focus on the design and integrations.
The Results
The Institute of Technology and Engineering were delighted with the result and even happier now that anyone in the world are able to take their courses in their time, their comfort and be on top of the essential accreditation those consumers need for their industry.
