This is an awesome FREE extension for Magento, from Magestore. Not only does it start finding search results from the moment you type, but it also shows the first result in an “add to cart” form! Having a great search experience for your customers, especially if you have a big catalogue or you are promoting something is so important – it is the closest thing you can get to mimicing what bricks and mortar stores do with have a Customer Service desk. This extension goes that bit further and gets the customer to even put it straight into their basket without clicking through to the product.
