Luxury lifestyle magazine, The Rake, running on Adobe Commerce Cloud, manually managed subscription renewals using spreadsheets. This led to inefficiencies, customer service issues and costly manual processes, including creating active subscriber lists for the magazine’s publisher.  

Solution 

objectsource implemented Stripe’s basic subscription functionality within The Rake’s platform, automating renewal processes, generating invoices and sending confirmation emails. A management console was added for quick access to subscriber reports.

This basic subscription automation solution was implemented within two days as part of The Rake’s retainer. 

2. Launching a VIP Subscription Model for CM Hair and Beauty Supplies

CM Hair and Beauty Supplies, a provider of professional hairdressing products, wanted to introduce a VIP programme with exclusive benefits such as early access to promotions and free shipping. They were not aware of Stripe’s subscription capabilities within Adobe Commerce (Magento).  

Solution  

We implemented a VIP subscription programme by integrating Stripe within Adobe Commerce. When customers subscribe, they are automatically added to a VIP customer group utilising Magento’s out-of-the-box customer group feature, gaining access to exclusive perks such as free gifts and discounted shipping.  

Results

  • A new VIP subscription programme that enhances customer loyalty. 
  • Predictable monthly revenue. 

This slightly more complex solution was implemented within four days as part of CM Hair and Beauty’s retainer.  

3. Advanced Subscription Management for Gold Collagen

Gold Collagen, a liquid collagen supplement brand, struggled with manual subscription tracking. Customers frequently experienced issues such as receiving incorrect products or products being sent to cancelled agreements due to errors in tracking active subscriptions. Gold Collagen also wanted to offer flexible subscription options directly on product pages.  

Solution  

We implemented the Aheadworks subscription module within Adobe Commerce, enabling customers to choose between one-time purchases or subscriptions. The solution also automated payment processing, order management and self-service subscription modifications.  

Results  

  • Automated subscription management, reducing manual workload and errors. 
  • Improved order fulfilment accuracy, minimising customer complaints. 
  • Customers gained flexibility in managing their own subscriptions.

This more advanced implementation required seven days of work, plus the module cost. 

4. Enterprise-Level Subscription Automation for FLOWERBX

Solution 

objectsource implemented Ordergroove, a dedicated subscription platform, and integrated it with FLOWERBX’s Adobe Commerce site. This provided advanced features such as flexible subscription frequencies, customer-controlled modifications and automated payment retries.
