Raise a glass to this Magento 2 build

Slurp was one of the first Magento 2 sites we did in the alcohol beverage sector.

Slurp already had a website when they put their brief out to tender. Even though their site was performing well, they knew it could do better. They wanted to pick an agency that really understood Magento 2, integrating with other systems and most importantly, one they knew they could get on with.

You would think that selling wine online would be one of the easiest online businesses, but there were some key features of selling wine that were important to understand, notwithstanding one of those being making sure they chose the right courier. One of the key areas was ensuring that we understood the product so that the right information could be collated in order to create the filters to provide quick and easy ways for the online customer to find the product they wanted.

Along with this, we also installed and fully configured eBizmarts POS. This has enabled their store representatives to take orders whilst walking around the store taking care of their customers.

We had to work closely with their design agency to ensure the site was consistent with their brand. This was a great collaboration, as they were also looking for us to provide feedback on their designs to ensure the key conversion areas were included.

Finally, site performance was a major factor and in fact, when they first went live the performance was not great. Although we had already put a number of Magento 2 sites live by this point, we quickly realised that this server was not good enough for them, so we moved them to AWS and now their site runs as it is  expected it should.

The project was developed within budget and on-time, this being to the plan that was set at the beginning of the project.

The client is delighted with the website and really looking forward to seeing it become a significant part of their business as people use them to shop online for their wine!
