We are continually working on more Drupal sites, but two that we’ve recently completed are:
Bristol energy – a new Drupal site for an energy company, including deep integration with a third party CRM solution for the management of highly detailed customer information and energy usage metrics. We developed a library to communicate with the CRM through a RESTful API and then built this into the site. This allows us to provide a customer portal that with online meter reading submission, billing and bill payment, and even live graphing of multi-tariff electricity usage for each individual customer.
Sheerluxe – a Drupal site that delivers an online lifestyle magazine featuring news and views on the latest and most desirable fashion, beauty, wellness and lifestyle products, brands and goods on offer. This is a Drupal 7 site, featuring a custom built responsive theme, feed integration and management from multiple social media channels, bespoke article management and promotion tools, and custom mailing list subscription and management. Sheerluxe integrates a number of sister sites including their Boutique site, an eCommerce solution built in Magento. Objectsource developed the original site and now manage the maintenance and ongoing development of the site.
We chose Drupal as our CMS of choice because as a platform, Drupal goes a long way beyond just being managing content. It allows us to scale from basic sites to complex solution driven systems incorporating custom functionality and integration with 3rd party services and social media feeds.
Drupal allows you to easily create, update and manage a website without requiring a lot of technical know-how. Drupal uses a point-and-click interface to let you add pages, menus, images and file uploads and it enforces security, so you can apply permissions to different kinds of users. As your website grows, it’s easy to add custom features from the thousands of free modules you can download. Drupal’s access control system means that it can be easily applied to your organisational structure.
Drupal is recognised as one of the top open source content management solutions in the market, driving over 1.25 million websites including some of those with the highest traffic. Drupal is driving the websites of organisations like MTV UK, The Economist, The White House, BAFTA, Mazda, Honda, ZSL, Rimmel, Sony Music, New York Observer, to name but a few.
Drupal is highly regarded as one of the best website frameworks available and is rapidly gaining adoption all over the globe.
With our highly experienced Drupal front- and back-end developers, we are able to provide exceptionally good looking and functioning Drupal websites. Drupal holds no limits when it comes to being an open source CMS tool and neither do we.
Our clients are really pleased with having made the decision to use Drupal for their website, as they are seeing how they can leverage this investment for other key web initiatives, due to all the additional features and add-ons available for design and development. These features and add-ons allow it to be used for a variety of website needs; for marketing, internal communications, informational websites, or for social networking purposes. From the same Drupal installation, new microsites can be generated, taking advantage of the web page templates and features that have been built for the main website.
Drupal already featured great tools and reliable, easy to use, content management, but Drupal 8 released in November 2015 raised the bar even higher. Drupal 8 benefits from an updated core, over 200 new features, vastly improved templating and theme development, increased performance, more maintainable codebase, improved multi-language support, enhanced content authoring experience (including in-place content editing) and easier workflow.
Drupal 8 continues the theme of accessible content delivery with new features built in from the core up to ensure accessibility.
