In amongst overeating and being passed copious amounts of alcohol, I took some time out over the festive holiday period to review Object Source's 2011 successes , and presented a refreshed Business Plan to the Board of Directors that was promptly signed off. To demonstrate to our customers and potential customers the direction we're heading, we thought it was time to refresh our own website. Since Object Source has such an awesome web design and development team, I decided to leave the refresh to them and I could not be more pleased, not least because of how quickly they achieved it.

So, what are the key things they have done ?

• All built in Drupal 7, a CMS (Content Management System) that Object Source use for clients to have full control over their website content.
• We have a blog, something all companies really should have if they are serious about using their website to sell their products/services. Great for SEO.
• Short, snappy, but still impactful copy. People don't have time to read reams of copy ; they need to know if you can do the job and whether you have done it before! If they are interested in a service, then they'll call.
• Our version of an exploding menu shows that you can use this type of menu for more than just eCommerce websites or content rich websites. You will see how it helps to promote our products and services and get you deep into the content with as few clicks as possible.
• We have our latest tweets showing (think of this as micro blogging). We debated putting this on as it does not look good if you do not tweet very often!
• And so much more.
