SagePay – Find the right Partners

Don’t know what other MD’s of Magento Agencies are finding, but I am certainly finding that our clients are becoming more and more demanding with what they need and quite frankly, so they should!

The real challenge for me and my Management Team is trying to make sure we are armed with the right resources and in this case, Partners that have the same attitude to service delivery; being responsive and ‘mmm, not done that before, but lets find a way’!

I want to tell you about a perfect example of this. Just recently one of our clients came to us with a problem, one that we knew could not be done out of the box, but one we just firmly believed we could resolve somehow. At objectsource we pride ourselves in being able to customise Magento to your needs and without compromising the platform itself, therefore enabling it to still be upgraded. However, this problem was to do with how our client wanted to take payments for their membership site, this was a little less in our control to solve.

“Right chaps, we better contact our Partner Manager at SagePay and see how we go”! Within 24 hours of making the initial contact and therefore a flurry of technical emails between my team and theirs, we had a solution and a very happy client!

As other agency owners will know, you really do not have the time or budget to be pushing and researching a solution, so sometimes the “sorry, I know this can’t be done” card gets pulled out. The biggest thing I learnt from this was the fact that you really need to make sure you choose the right partners to work with if you want to be a progressive Magento Agency in London.
